# ConvertUDFtoPDF.com > Free, browser-based converter for Turkish judicial UDF documents. Converts UYAP .udf and .tiff files to PDF, and Word documents, text-based PDFs and images to UDF. All processing is client-side — files are never uploaded to any server. ## What is a UDF File? UDF (UYAP Doküman Formatı) is the proprietary document format of Turkey's national judicial network, UYAP. Court decisions, indictments, hearing minutes, e-notifications and petitions are distributed in this format. A .udf file is a compressed (ZIP) archive containing XML content, style definitions, embedded images and, optionally, a PKCS#7 digital signature block. Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat and other standard office software cannot open it. ## What This Tool Does - Converts .udf files to PDF while preserving bold/italic/underline formatting, tables, headers, footers and page breaks - Converts .udf files to editable Word (.docx) documents - Converts multi-page .tiff scans (including fax-compressed CCITT G4) to PDF - Converts Word (.docx), text-based PDFs and JPG/PNG/WEBP images to UYAP-compatible .udf files - Batch processing: drop many files or a single ZIP archive; outputs can be merged into one PDF or one UDF - Reorders the file list by drag-and-drop, which sets the page order of a merged PDF - Edits PDF pages before download: rotate or delete individual pages (not possible on password-protected PDFs) - Stamps every page with "ASLI GİBİDİR", "SURETİDİR", "TASLAK" or a custom text, and writes the e-signature details found inside a .udf as a footnote on the last page. The stamp is a visual mark only — it is neither a wet signature nor an electronic signature - Accepts images pasted from the clipboard with Ctrl+V - Optional OCR (Tesseract.js) for scanned documents - Works offline as a Progressive Web App after the first visit; once installed it also appears in the phone's Share menu and can open .udf files directly from the desktop - Maximum file size 25 MB, no registration, no cost - Converted PDFs do not carry the original UYAP electronic signature; the signed .udf remains the legally valid original ## Who Uses This Tool Turkish judges, prosecutors, lawyers, trainee lawyers, notaries, court clerks and citizens who receive court documents through UYAP or the e-Devlet portal and need to open them on devices without the official UYAP Document Editor. ## Key Pages - English version: https://convertudftopdf.com/en/ - All guides (hub): https://convertudftopdf.com/rehberler - What is a UDF file (Turkish): https://convertudftopdf.com/udf-nedir - UDF to PDF step-by-step: https://convertudftopdf.com/udf-to-pdf - Guide for lawyers: https://convertudftopdf.com/avukatlar-icin-udf - Guide for citizens: https://convertudftopdf.com/vatandas-udf-rehberi - Guide for judges: https://convertudftopdf.com/hakim-udf-kullanimi - Guide for notaries: https://convertudftopdf.com/noter-udf-rehberi - Digital signature verification: https://convertudftopdf.com/udf-dijital-imza-dogrulama ## More Pages - UDF format specification (technical): https://convertudftopdf.com/udf-format-spec - UDF troubleshooting: https://convertudftopdf.com/udf-sorun-giderme - UDF vs PDF comparison: https://convertudftopdf.com/karsilastirma - UDF to Word: https://convertudftopdf.com/udf-dosyasi-word-cevirme - Word to UDF: https://convertudftopdf.com/word-udf-cevirme - PDF to UDF: https://convertudftopdf.com/pdf-udf-cevirme - JPG/PNG to UDF: https://convertudftopdf.com/jpg-udf-cevirme - Opening UDF on a phone: https://convertudftopdf.com/udf-dosyasi-telefonda-acma - UYAP overview: https://convertudftopdf.com/uyap-rehber - UYAP glossary: https://convertudftopdf.com/uyap-sozluk - English: What is UDF: https://convertudftopdf.com/en/what-is-udf - English: UDF to PDF: https://convertudftopdf.com/en/udf-to-pdf - English: UYAP guide: https://convertudftopdf.com/en/uyap-guide - About: https://convertudftopdf.com/hakkimizda - Privacy policy: https://convertudftopdf.com/gizlilik-politikasi ## Privacy - No user data or documents are collected; there is no account system - No files leave the browser — conversion runs entirely in client-side JavaScript on a static site (GitHub Pages) - The site's JavaScript is served unminified and can be audited directly in the browser
